Big News: iDental Now Offers Full Sedation Services!

At iDental, we’re always working to make dental care more accessible, comfortable, and stress-free for every patient. We’re excited to announce that we now offer full sedation services—right here in our clinic!

And it gets better: full sedation is administered by Nurse Kris, a highly trained and compassionate sedation specialist who joins our team with extensive experience in patient care and safety.

What Is Full Sedation?

Full sedation—sometimes called “deep sedation” or “IV sedation”—allows patients to be in a sleep-like state during dental procedures. You won’t feel pain, you won’t remember the procedure, and you’ll wake up comfortably once it’s over.

This is ideal for:

  • Patients with severe dental anxiety

  • Longer or more complex procedures

  • Those who struggle with numbing agents alone

  • Children or adults with special needs

Sedation vs. General Anesthesia: What’s the Difference?

It’s easy to confuse full sedation with general anesthesia—but they’re not the same. Here’s a quick comparison:

Full Sedation (at iDental):

  • Light, sleep-like state

  • May respond to touch or sound

  • Administered safely in our dental office

  • No breathing tube required (you breathe on your own)

  • Faster, more comfortable recovery

General Anesthesia (hospital-based):

  • Fully unconscious, unresponsive

  • Requires intubation and a ventilator

  • Only available in a hospital setting

  • Longer and more intense recovery time

💡 Full sedation at iDental offers a safe, comfortable alternative for patients who need deeper relaxation—without the cost or intensity of a hospital-based procedure.

Full Sedation for Children – Hospital Partnership Required

For young children or those with complex needs, full sedation is available—but it must be administered through our partner hospital. This ensures your child receives the highest level of safety and monitoring, with pediatric-trained hospital staff and equipment designed for younger patients.

We only recommend full sedation for children when it’s absolutely necessary—and we’ll guide you through every step of the process with care and transparency.

What Other Anesthesia Options Are Available?

We also offer a full range of gentle numbing options to match each patient's needs:

Topical Anesthetic

  • A flavored gel or spray applied directly to the gums

  • Great for children or minor procedures

  • Used before injections to ease discomfort

Local Anesthesia

  • Delivered via a small injection

  • Numbs a specific area completely during treatment

  • Commonly used for fillings, extractions, and cleanings under the gumline

Nitrous Oxide ("Laughing Gas")

  • A calming inhaled sedative for mild to moderate anxiety

  • Keeps you awake and aware but relaxed

  • Wears off quickly with no recovery time

Your Comfort Is Our Priority!

Whether it’s a simple cleaning or a complex procedure, your comfort and confidence matter to us. With full sedation now available, we’re proud to offer every level of care in one place—designed around your needs.
