Come in by the first birthday — or when the first tooth appears
Your Child's First Visit
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends establishing a dental home once the first tooth appears, and no later than 12 months of age. Early visits are short, friendly and mostly about getting comfortable.
A warm welcome, at your child's pace
We introduce the room and the team before anything happens. Younger children can sit on your lap for the exam.
Tell, show, do
Every instrument is named, shown and demonstrated on a finger or hand before it goes near your child's mouth.
Exam, and cleaning if your child is ready
The dentist checks teeth, bite and jaw development. Cleaning, fluoride or X-rays may be recommended, and we will explain why before we proceed.
What we found, and what comes next
You leave with a plain-language summary, a brushing plan, and any cost estimate — and maybe some goodies for your child.
Ready to schedule your child's dental visit?
We are accepting new pediatric patients. Call us or send a request and our front desk will confirm a time, check your child's benefits, and tell you exactly what to bring.
